Training days:

Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday

June 8 – June 24 (9 days total)

Camp support days:

Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday 

9 am – 1 pm OR  2 pm – 6:30 pm

June 29 – July 15 (9 days total)

SILT PROGRAM: 18 days Total

THE “SILT”PROGRAM CONSISTS OF A COHORT OF 10-15 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY PARTICIPATED WITH CITY SURF PROJECT. ALONG WITH FULFILLING COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS, YOU WILL GAIN OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP SKILLS, LIFEGUARDING SKILLS, CPR/FIRST AID TRAINING, ASSIST WITH SURF INSTRUCTING, AND BE PART OF OUR TEAM FOR SUMMER 2021.

What are the Qualifications?

  • Participated with City Surf Project at least once
  • Must be able to swim comfortably in the ocean
  • Must have some knowledge of surfing and surf equipment
  • Must be in high school grades 10th-12th (or equivalent age)
  • Must be familiar with and exemplify the four pillars of City Surf Project

 

What is the Time Commitment?

Mandatory 3 weeks of in-person training
June 8th- June 24th / 9 am – 1 pm

Support 3 weeks of summer camp as a junior surf instructor June 29 – July 15 / 9 am – 1 pm OR 2 pm – 6:30 pm
